What is Reggae. This is an article about Reggae and how it got it's name.

Reggae Nostalgia Inc. is a not for profit Internet Radio station founded with the vision of promoting Independent Artistes from the Caribbean and preserving the Legacy of Reggae music, which consisted of Mento, Ska, Rocksteady and Roots & Culture.

In addition, it is the mission of Reggae Nostalgia to become a pillar in the Caribbean Community by providing news and information affecting Caribbean people locally and abroad in their native Caribbean Nations. This type of news and information is not being broadcast on the mainsteam radio stations in our communities today. As such, Reggae Nostalgia is positioning itself to become the voice of the Caribbean Community in the South Miami and surrounding areas.

The branding of the station will be of an Anti-offensive nature. The station will not promote music or songs that is offensive in lyrical content or phrases to any particular Sex, Race, Color, or Creed. But rather, Reggae Nostalgia will embrace and promote all Music with a positive message, with the intent to empower and encourage all people to strive to be the very best that they can be, especially those in the Caribbean Communities.

While our main focus is on Music, Arts, and Cultural Activities, we will also promote forums geared to educate and inform the Caribbean Communities about Bone Marrow and the need to donate. We will also provide information and statistical data on Breast Cancer, HIV/AIDS and Diabetes and their impact in our Caribbean Communities.

Finally, it is within the vision and mission of Reggae Nostalgia to partner with local charities and organizations to provide support and help to the very poor and needy families in our listening and surrounding areas. Our main support in the area of charitable giving will be focused on programs geared at mentoring and supporting our youths and those providing assistance to our senior citizens.
