On the footsteps of memorable performances in USA, Europe and Africa, Reggae Ambassadors THIRD WORLD came back home on their beloved island of Jamaica, home of Reggae; celebrating yet another milestone in their illustrious career with the release of their 22nd studio album MORE WORK TO BE DONE out today, Friday August 16 on all digital platforms, select retail outlets and on thirdworldband.com, courtesy of Ghetto Youths International.
The self-explanatory title proclaims MORE WORK TO BE DONE, indeed the 10-time GRAMMY-nominated band did not rest on their laurels as they delivered an impressive body of work with 11 tracks featuring some of reggae’s biggest names: Chronixx, Tarrus Riley, Busy Signal, Pressure Busspipe, Tessanne Chin and Damian “Jr Gong” Marley.
Staying true to their musical foundation, but with an added blend of life experiences and worldwide travels, MORE WORK TO BE DONE has already embraced a global harmony while retaining the band’s authenticity. Masterfully displayed by the production of multi-Grammy-award winning artist/producer Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, co-founder and band member Stephen “Cat”, Coore says “He is an amazing producer, composer, songwriter and we wholeheartedly invite all music lovers to take a listen to the magic Gong and Third World created together. Yes, there is More Work to Be Done.”
THIRD WORLD is currently on tour internationally, adhering to their ambassadorial duties carrying the reggae flag to Canada (8/17/19), California (8/18/19), Spain (8/21/19), Austria (8/22/19), Switzerland (8/24/19) Netherlands (8/25/19) and Curacao (8/31/19), continuing the legacy they embarked in 1975 as an opening act for the Bob Marley & the Wailers’ World Tour.
